New City Church exists for God’s glory and the good of people. We believe the Gospel is best communicated and believed in a local community of committed believers on God’s mission. We believe that All of Christ, is for All of Life, for All of Denver.
New City Church is a continual work in progress. Growing from a church basement with just a few adults, to meeting in a local music venue on South Broadway, we spent a little time near Porter Hospital and now gather on Sunday at 2400 S Colorado Blvd. We have seen our weekly gathering grow and attract other families and individuals that desire to see the Gospel transform the broken and hurting areas of Denver. We are excited to see what God has in store as we serve and love Jesus here in our beautiful Mile High City.
The mission of New City is to glorify God by making disciples through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We believe that God’s mission and the mission of His Church are inseparably linked. If God’s mission is to be glorified through the redemption and reconciliation of people, the Church’s mission must orient around the glory of God and seek to glorify Him through redemption and reconciliation.
As those who have been reconciled to God through the gospel of Jesus Christ, all christians are now ambassadors of His reconciliation to a lost and broken world. We plead, urge, implore, reason, pray, serve, preach, teach and gather to see God glorified through reconciliation of relationship between folks and God.
The word gospel simply means “good news.” The central message of the Bible is the good news about the person and work of Jesus Christ. In 1 Corinthians 15:1–4, Paul provides the most succinct summary of the gospel: the man Jesus is also God, or Christ, and died on a cross in our place, paying the penalty for our sins; three days later He rose to conquer sin and death and give the gift of salvation to all who believe in Him alone for eternal life.
The great reformer Martin Luther rightly said that, as sinners, we are prone to pursue a relationship with God in one of two ways. The first is religion/spirituality and the second is the gospel. The two are antithetical in every way.
Religion says that if we obey God He will love us. The gospel says that it is because God has loved us through Jesus that we get to and are enabled to obey.
Religion says that the world is filled with good people and bad people. The gospel says that the world is filled with only bad people who are either repentant or unrepentant.
Religion says that you should trust in what you do as a good moral person. The gospel says that you should trust in the perfectly sinless life of Jesus because He alone is the only good and truly moral person who ever lived.
The goal of religion is to get from God such things as health, wealth, insight, power, and control. The goal of the gospel is not the gifts God gives, but rather God as the gift given to us by grace through Jesus Christ.

Our leaders believe that to truly lead folks well, we must follow Jesus well. Disciples are learners and followers of Jesus first and foremost. We aim to live and speak His call of repentance and belief to all people, because there can be hope and grace for anyone who believes. Leaders in our church are men, women, marrieds, singles, old and young, all folks who desire to serve Jesus, His people and our city. For a further explanation of our doctrinal distinctives please email Pastor Andy, firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you our document.
